IN SEARCH OF

I've been trouser shopping for a bit of time and haven't really found anything that really caught my fancy. I did purchase a pair of white trousers from the H&M Conscious Collection but after trying them on several times, the sheerness of the fabric made them impossible to wear to work (more on that later), so I had to return them. The cut wasn't the greatest either. I guess what I'm looking for is a fit like the ones Giovanna is wearing below.

Any suggestions? :)

INDIAN

Lately my man and I have kind of been on an indian cuisine frenzy. Last night we braved the freezing rain with italian food and bring your own wine in mind, but geographical and climatic constraints brought us to cross paths with the highly praised Le Taj. He ordered butter chicken while I decided to tantalize my tastebuds with a dish of spicy saag lamb, complete with fresh out of the tandoor naan bread... Mmmmm is all I can say!

Jil Sander, maîtresse des tons neutres, a décidé de nous choyer ce printemps/été avec une collec qui décolle de son coutumier, avec un amalgame de couleurs accouplées avec promiscuité. La combi tshirt blanc et maxi jupe rose a fait des ravages dans le blogosphère. Le people de l'industrie a déjà accueillie avec profusion le look durant la pré-saison...Cet été s'annonce décidément très Jil. (Pas de printemps à Montréal - après le manteau de duvet, les short shorts!)

I love the idea of clear drawers for all the wardrobe essentials and such! I would have thought that the idea would look very cluttersome but I'm frankly quite impressed! What do you think? Is this the kind of makeover the sock drawer needs?

COLOURS FOR SPRING?

I'm mostly a neutrals type of girl when it comes to my wardrobe palette. However, with the clashing spring trends of colours that we have seen all fashion month and beyond, I was seduced by the rainbow-clad fashion editors and runways.

After witnessing this sudden surge of demonstrative stylish colour blocking, it became evident to me that this spring; NO CLASH, NO FASH. Thus I began. One tiny stiletto step at a time, with pastels and a limited amount of carefully proportioned hues. Maybe by the end of the summer I'll look like a bag of Skittles. Maybe, hopefully.

Having taken the pledge (last post) to embrace winter the best way I can, I have doomed the entire metropolitan to another type of horrid weather: cold cold rain. It helps to consider that I have 7 whole months to prep myself into holding this resolution, plus these beautiful photographs by Harper Smith make snow look so darn sexy.

GIRL CRUSH

Swedish beaut Elin Kling always puts herself together in the most impeccable attires. Not to mention that their winter is...well, scandinavian! Puts me and my winter blues whining to shame. Maybe I can just do like her and dress really nicely underneath my 8 parkas and casually step out of the office for a snapshot in the middle of the day. People will think that my style is so hot it keeps me warm.
