I LOVE this cover of the Japanese WWD, illustration curtesy of Garance Doré.
Here is one of mine I did a few years ago.
I used to walk around everyday with a little sketch pad and a black ink pen, and doodle whenever the inspiration struck. I have to say I do miss it, I've been experimenting with a few Apps on the iPad, and if I end up doing something half decent I'll show you!
You've probably all heard by now, under Hedi Slimane's artistic direction, Yves Saint-Laurent will become henceforth Saint-Laurent Paris. According to the interview given to WWD, this change is inspired by the first RTW launched by YSL in 1966 called "Saint-Laurent Rive Gauche". As for the iconic monogramed logo - it stays. Personally I find this slightly sad and a whole bunch exciting! I mean come on, how much wrong can Hedi Slimane do?
It's just me and my Ficus Microcarpa. I've retired the sneakers! as you can see, not really because my foot feels better but rather because Saturday marked my 4th week of recovery - really stupid of me, I know..
Do I have any readers from Romania or Moldova? I live for feminine silhouettes and luscious silk like these, from the latest collaboration between the clothing line Moja and blogger Doina Ciobanu. If you do happen to be within the purchasing eligibility vicinity, click them homehere.
How gooood are these latest Ksubi shades? I would need to try these on first but I'm dyyying for a pair...I'm currently on a spending budget and I'll be pretty maxed out of it by getting these but it's sooo worth it. No? Get them at M'O.
I love the timeless elegance that is exuded by this homonymic (her name is Elena) inspiration's attire, and her delicate gait caused by the constraint of a pencil skirt, and her grasp on her trenchcoat #itsallinthedeets.
Oy oy oy.... In my defense, I suffered a severe (read: minor) injury to my foot requiring minimal blogging (read: walking) and the wear of an orthotic boot for 4 weeks! Add that to a slightly hectic new job (read: INSANE) and 6pm summer course? Cut me some slaaaack. (please?) No but on a more serious note, I really have to get my game together and stop with these impromptu hiatuses..right? Here's a little quick something to munch on while I dust off my keyboard. I promise I will blog so much that your eyeballs will fall out.
